1. Who we are

WorkLinkUp is a brand operated by Specular Business Services LLP, India.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, protect and retain personal data when you use WorkLinkUp.

The policy applies to candidates, company users, recruitment partners, learners, Career Services customers, Support users and visitors to WorkLinkUp.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use WorkLinkUp, we may process information such as your name, email address, login and verification information, account type and account status.

For candidates, this may include professional profile information, work experience, education, skills, preferences, resumes, saved jobs, saved searches, applications, application history, staffing authorisations, Career Services information and Academy activity.

For company users, this may include business contact information, company information, membership or role information, job listings, applicant-review activity and staffing requirements.

Support interactions may include ticket information, messages, attachments and information needed to resolve your request.

Career Services may involve resumes, intake information, documents, feedback and service-status information.

Academy may involve enrolment, course access, lesson progress and completion records.

We may also process technical and operational information such as session information, IP address, security events, timestamps, browser or device-related information and first-party product analytics.

We do not intentionally make candidate resumes or private candidate-profile information publicly searchable.

3. How information is collected

We may receive personal data directly from you when you create an account, complete a profile, upload a resume, apply for a job, contact Support, participate in staffing, use Career Services or access Academy.

We may also receive relevant information from authorised company users or recruitment partners as part of recruitment workflows.

Information about externally discovered jobs may come from approved public or external sources. That does not mean WorkLinkUp obtains candidate personal data from those sources.

Technical information may be generated when you use the service.

4. Why we use personal data

We use personal data to create and secure accounts, verify email addresses, provide candidate and company workspaces, enable job applications, manage resumes and recruitment workflows, operate staffing services, provide Career Services and Academy, handle Support requests, send operational notifications, maintain security, prevent misuse and improve platform operation.

We also use limited information to measure marketplace activity, job views, applications, saved jobs, saved searches and other platform-performance indicators.

Operational analytics should be designed around aggregated or bounded information rather than exposing unnecessary personal information.

5. Consent and lawful processing

Where consent is required, WorkLinkUp should provide a clear explanation of the information involved and the purpose for which it is requested.

Where applicable, personal data may also be processed on another basis permitted by applicable law.

Consent should not be bundled into unrelated purposes.

Where a processing activity requires consent, users should be able to withdraw that consent through a reasonably accessible process, subject to lawful retention or processing requirements.

6. Recruitment and employer sharing

When you apply to a WorkLinkUp job, relevant application information and the resume selected for that application may be made available to the relevant company and authorised users involved in recruitment.

For staffing workflows, information may be shared with authorised recruitment partners and employers only according to the applicable workflow and candidate-authorisation controls.

We do not intend recruitment partners to receive unrestricted access to candidate profiles merely because they participate on WorkLinkUp.

7. External jobs

For externally discovered jobs, WorkLinkUp may redirect you to an external application website.

WorkLinkUp does not automatically receive information that you later submit directly to that third-party website unless that information is separately provided back to WorkLinkUp.

You should review the external site's privacy practices before providing personal information there.

8. Service providers

We may use hosting, cloud infrastructure, email delivery, storage, security, analytics, payment and other service providers to operate WorkLinkUp.

Those providers may process information on our behalf only as required to provide their services and subject to applicable contractual and legal requirements.

Where information is processed outside India, we will handle transfers subject to applicable Indian law and any restrictions that may apply.

9. Payments

If payments are introduced, WorkLinkUp may receive transaction identifiers, payment status, amount, currency and related transaction metadata from the payment provider.

We should not store complete payment-card credentials unless expressly required and appropriately secured through a compliant payment system.

At present, some WorkLinkUp paid services may display pricing while online checkout remains unavailable.

10. Private files and documents

Resumes, Career Services files, Support attachments and private Academy media are intended to be protected by access controls.

Access is limited according to the relevant account, application, service, learning or operational role.

Users must not attempt to access files belonging to another user by guessing links, identifiers or URLs.

11. Cookies, sessions and analytics

WorkLinkUp may use essential cookies or similar technologies to maintain authentication, session security and platform functionality.

We may also use first-party analytics to understand product usage and marketplace performance.

Where additional non-essential tracking technology is introduced, we should provide any consent or notice required by applicable law.

12. Security

We use organisational and technical controls designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.

These may include authentication controls, permission-based access, private-file authorisation, audit logs, session controls, security monitoring and restricted internal access.

No online system can guarantee absolute security.

13. Data retention

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or as required for legal, contractual, security, fraud-prevention, dispute, audit or regulatory purposes.

Different records may have different retention periods.

Account closure may remove or disable active account access without immediately deleting every associated record where continued retention is lawfully necessary.

14. Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may be able to request access to information about your personal data, request correction or updating of inaccurate data, request deletion where applicable, withdraw consent where processing depends on consent, close your account and raise a grievance concerning how your information is handled.

WorkLinkUp currently provides authenticated Support as the primary privacy-request channel.

15. Account closure and deletion requests

When an account is closed, access may be disabled and information that is no longer required may be deleted or anonymised according to applicable retention rules.

Certain records may need to remain where necessary for legal compliance, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, financial records or audit integrity.

16. Company and recruitment records

Companies and employers may independently determine how they process candidate data they receive for their own recruitment activities.

Where a company independently determines those purposes and means, its own privacy obligations may apply in addition to this Policy.

WorkLinkUp remains responsible for personal data processed under WorkLinkUp's own control.

17. Children

WorkLinkUp accounts are intended only for individuals 18 years of age or older.

A person under 18 should not create an account or provide personal information through WorkLinkUp.

18. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, data practices or legal obligations change.

The current version and effective date will be displayed on this page.

If a material change requires renewed consent or acknowledgment, we may request it through the platform.

19. Complaints and privacy requests
